Where Paint Lines Stay Straight
A sharp line where the wall meets the ceiling, trim with no brush marks, cabinet doors with a smooth, even coat: those come from the work before the color. Holes filled and sanded flat, glossy surfaces scuffed, stains sealed, then primer where it is needed.
Painting can be a stand-alone job or the final stage of a larger remodel. Either way, it comes with a 1-year warranty on our work.
Surfaces and Finishes
-
Rooms and stairwells
Every room from the entry to the upstairs hall, with nail pops reset, cracks taped or filled and water stains sealed so nothing ghosts through the topcoat.
-
Doors, casing and cabinets
Baseboard, door frames, six-panel and flat doors, and cabinet boxes, washed and lightly sanded first. Cabinet doors come off and are painted on both faces for an even finish.
-
The outside of the house
Clapboard, fascia, porch rails and entry doors. Failing paint is scraped back to a sound edge, raw wood is primed, and nearby shrubs are covered first.
Things to Know Before Painting
-
Homes built before 1978
Paint from before 1978 may contain lead. When it does, scraping and sanding follow lead-safe containment and cleanup steps, which adds time to the job.
-
Flat, satin or semi-gloss
Flatter finishes hide wall flaws; glossier ones wipe clean and suit trim, doors, kitchens and baths. We help match each surface to the sheen that fits it.
-
Outdoor timing
Exterior paint cures poorly on damp wood or in cold snaps, so outside work is planned around Georgia weather rather than squeezed between rain.
Before You Pick Colors
How do you get such clean lines at the ceiling?
Careful cutting-in by hand, with tape only where it helps. We also caulk gaps between trim and wall before painting, so the line has a tight, straight edge to follow.
Will new paint match the rooms we are not painting?
We can color-match an existing wall, but sheen and age make spot touch-ups visible. Painting a full wall or room, corner to corner, gives the cleanest result.
